HA HA....I got my chance

I did it! I got to be a kid again! Ok maybe not a kid but you know a kid. We went on a much needed miniature family vacation to Holiday World. The kids had a great time in the water and amusement park.

The first day we spent at Splashing Safari which is a family fun water park. And wow did it offer family fun. There were water rides and slides, water jets, a wave pool, a lazy river and so much more. And it truly was fun for the entire family, it offered entertainment for all ages.

The second day we spent at Holiday world amusement park. While the park is rather small compared to say Kings Island, it offers a variety of rides and attractions. There are several small kid areas and they are nicely situated near the adult areas so the kids can enjoy playing(unfortunately one adult must watch over the kids and miss a few of the rides- I suggest the adults take turns) while the adults ride the roller coasters or spinning rides.

Drinks are free, general admission gets you in both the amusement and water parks, food is plentiful and priced moderately, rafts and sunscreen are free, stroller and wagon rentals are very reasonable, and the park is one of the cleanest public places I have ever seen. It gets a 10/10 for a fun and cheap family vacation.

Hotels and good restaurants are hard to come by in the great city of Santa Claus Indiana and surrounding areas. I recommend reserving a hotel early (hotels raise prices drastically weeks before arrival date).
